Scituate High School's HOSA Club (Future Health Professionals) presented to North Scituate 4th and 5th graders about hygiene! The club prepared a presentation, activities, surveys, and more to engage students.
Kindergarten students at North Scituate Elementary cashed in their PBIS stars for their monthly incentive of Game Day. During Game Day, students brought in a special game from home to share with their classmates. Principal Soccio loved seeing all the different games and watching everyone work together.

During the North Scituate Holiday Shop, fifth graders assisted Kindergarten friends with their holiday shopping. Our fifth graders helped younger students select items and stick to their budget. We saw great leadership skills from our 5th grade students, and tons of smiles from fifth-grade, and kindergarteners alike!
North Scituate students in grade 4 have been studying volcano patterns, as well as volcano characteristics. The first week students worked in groups to map out all of the active volcanoes across the world. In the second week, they completed an experiment to see the different types of lava that come from different volcanoes!
North Scituate Kindergarten students in Mrs. Slaughter's class completed a unit on measuring length in December. They went on a classroom hunt to find objects longer than, or shorter than, their red string!
Congratulations to the North Scituate students who received positive office referrals in December! These awards are given by a faculty or staff member for EXEMPLARY behavior in the following categories: Growth Mindset, Problem Solving, Managing Emotions, Effort, Kindness, and Goal Setting!
North Scituate chorus members in 4th & 5th grade sang for students, staff, and their families on December 18th. The chorus practiced new songs and a few classic songs weekly with Mrs. Ethier. Everyone had fun and did a fantastic job!
The high school band and chorus visited North Scituate Elementary for High Five Friday and put on a concert for elementary students before the winter break! All students gathered in the gymnasium to listen to the band play some holiday tunes and sang along with the chorus.
On Friday, December 20th, North Scituate students had the opportunity to join Mrs. Soccio for the monthly PBIS Incentive of cookie decorating for 50 stars. Students can earn stars throughout each school day when students are seen using the 3 R's: Respectful, Responsible, and Ready to Learn! Students had fun decorating their own cookies while listening to Christmas music. Thank you to Mrs. Scucces and Mrs. Beaupre for helping Mrs. Soccio run this activity with over 150 students participating!

Abigail Schmeling and Isabella Wilson visited a North Scituate Elementary Kindergarten class to teach a lesson about germs as part of their classwork for the Education Pathway!

Jonathan from Mad Science treated North Scituate Elementary students to the "Don't Try This At Home Show". His show included some exciting demonstrations with lots of chemical reactions and a BOOMing finale!
North Scituate Elementary students in the K-2 session used neon pastels and paint to create patterns and designs to assemble their own turkey for Thanksgiving! For grades 2-5, students worked on a Pop Art project with Andy Warhol and Mickey Mouse. Huge thank you to Mr. Eager for running this program, and our parent volunteers for making this possible!
